1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Something Cool Enterprise website, purchasing our products, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services. Something Cool Enterprise reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Services description

Something Cool Enterprise provides HVAC and solar energy services throughout Jamaica, including but not limited to:

• Air conditioning installation, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties
• HVAC system inspections and diagnostic assessments
• Solar panel installation, configuration, and grid-tie setup
• Solar system maintenance and performance monitoring
• Sale of HVAC parts, solar components, and related products through our online store
• Consultations and energy assessments for homes and businesses

Service availability may vary by parish and is subject to scheduling and technician availability. We reserve the right to decline service requests at our discretion.

3. Accounts and registration

Certain features of our website require account registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date. Something Cool Enterprise reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are inactive for extended periods.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices displayed on our website are quoted in Jamaican Dollars (JMD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The following terms apply to all transactions:

• All prices are inclusive of General Consumption Tax (GCT) at the prevailing rate as mandated by Tax Administration Jamaica
• Service quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified
• A deposit may be required before commencement of installation or major service work, with the balance due upon completion
• Product purchases must be paid in full at the time of order
• We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout
• Additional charges may apply for after-hours or emergency service calls

5. Bookings and cancellations

When booking a service through our website:

• Bookings are confirmed via email or WhatsApp and are subject to availability
• Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of any deposit paid
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee
• We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, supply delays, or other circumstances beyond our control
• No-shows without prior notice may forfeit any deposit and affect future booking priority

6. Warranty

Something Cool Enterprise stands behind the quality of our work and the products we sell:

• Installation workmanship — covered for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of completion
• Equipment and products — covered under the manufacturer's warranty as specified at the time of purchase
• Repair services — parts and labour warranted for a minimum of ninety (90) days

Warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modifications, power surges, natural disasters, or failure to follow recommended maintenance schedules. Warranty claims must be submitted in writing via email or through your account.

7. Returns and refunds

Products purchased through our online store may be returned within fourteen (14) days of delivery in their original, unused condition and packaging. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within ten (10) business days of receiving the returned item. Custom-ordered items, installed equipment, and opened consumables are not eligible for return. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was defective or incorrectly shipped.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Jamaican law, Something Cool Enterprise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our website, products, or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based, including contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Something Cool Enterprise or its content suppliers and is protected by Jamaican and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Something Cool Enterprise, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms, misuse of our services, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Governing law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica. Both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

12. Force majeure

Something Cool Enterprise shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, hurricanes, government actions, supply chain disruptions, utility outages, or pandemic-related restrictions.
